AWANA: 2yrs – 6th Graders AWANA comes from the first letters of: Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, referring to 2 Timothy 2:15. AWANA is designed to help children memorize and apply the Bible to their life. Visit for a complete description. There is an annual cost per child for the year, but no child is turned away. A world-wide Bible-based Scripture memory program that kids love!
Besides being FUN, the goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. We are teaching God’s Word through FUN!
AWANA teaches that God is real; that He loves them; and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. Kids also learn how God can help them in their daily lives.

AWANA Starts Wednesday,August 31st, from 6:15-8:15pm
AWANA is the Wednesday evening program for children from 2 years of age through 6th grade. We focus on Scripture memorization, applying Scripture to daily life, and being challenged from God’s Word. We’ll play FUN games and prepare for the official inter-church AWANA games.
Children are divided into classes by age/grade:
Puggles: 2yrs Awana Puggles is an enriching program for your toddlers that present basic biblical concepts: We are unique creation of God and God loves us very much through teaching cards, activities, music and more. Puggles for children who are mid and older 2 year olds (born between 3/31/08 - 10/1/08 limited space)
Fun, fun, and more fun! AWANA is fun with a purpose. That purpose is to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively, weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.
Cubbies for 3 and 4 year-olds
A New Adventure! Sparks Club meetings combine learning with fun and create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement for churched and unchurched kids alike. Club meeting are divided into three segments: Bible teaching, worship, award presentation and the gospel message; Small group interaction and completion of Bible based lessons; Age-appropriate games on the AWANA game circle. Along the way, Sparky, the friendly firefly, and his three friends have many exciting adventures. Sparky encourages kids to learn verses and complete assignments.

Truth & Training: 3rd – 6th Grade Truth & Training (T&T) reflects our passions to teach third through sixth grade kids the truth of God’s Word and to train then to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today’s kids will become tomorrow’s church leaders.

AWANA meets only during the months when APS schools are in session on Wednesday evenings from 6:15-8:15 pm.
