Discipleland

All classes meet at 9:30am on Sunday mornings. The goal of the Children's Ministry at Hoffmantown Church is for every child to feel loved and welcomed as they enter our classrooms. We not only want them to feel the love of the teachers, but more importantly, we want them to experience the love of Jesus. Unashamedly, it is our number one goal to teach boys and girls about the love of Jesus in the hope that they will come to accept Him as their Lord and Savior. And after they receive Christ, we want to disciple them to become obedient followers of Christ (Matt. 28:19-20). Our Sunday School classes use Discipleland Curriculum to help accomplish that task.

We desire to make relationships with kids. That’s why we split almost every elementary class into two classes…so our teachers can make true friendships and not just try to manage the class. Our elementary teachers are not “monthly” teachers. Our teachers are here every week for the entire year. The goal is not to just get information across to kids but rather to see transformation that comes through application of Scripture and the doorway of a personal relationship with the teacher.

 

First graders

First graders will acknowledge God as Lord of heaven and earth. Kids will experience God's view of family, work, worship, and community. Join a Bible-times family and discover what living in God's world was like 2000 years ago! Last names A-M meet in room Room 246 and N-Z meet in room Room 244.

Second graders

Second graders will embrace the Bible as God's inspired and authoritative message for everyone. Kids will cultivate a deep appreciation for the richness and power of Scripture; and the Bible will become their lifelong companion. Depend on the rock-solid Bible for God's guidance! Meet in room 244.

Third graders

Third graders get a complete overview of Jesus’ life and ministry on earth, so your kids will desire to follow Him in all the years to come. They will view Jesus’ messages, miracles, passion, and triumphant resurrection. Last names A-M meet in room Room 240 and N-Z meet in room Room 238.

Fourth graders

Fourth graders will encounter the Church as God’s instrument to influence the future. Kids will experience the Book of Acts and relive episodes of Christians who revolutionized the first century. Last names A-M meet in room Room 236 and N-Z meet in room Room 234.

Fifth graders

Fifth graders view the panorama of God’s Kingdom by reviewing the history of His plan from Genesis to today. Kids will be challenged to walk in the footsteps of Bible champions. Last names A-M meet in room Room 232 and N-Z meet in room Room 230.
