Women's Ministry

Women of Hoffmantown
FALL 2010

Experiencing authentic and deep connections with others and God...are often relationships we desire but do not experience in our daily lives. In the culture we live, we are more connected than ever with cell phones, texting, twittering, email, and instant messaging. However, the depth of these exchanges often surface and we find ourselves longing for something more. I love that our Creator made us to desire relationship, both with Him and with others. In this society, we must make intentional choices to relate with God and those around us. We must choose to go deep; to be authentic and to "do life" with those in our midst in a meaningful and transformational way. Women's Ministry at Hoffmantown is crafted to allow you to make these important and strategic life connections -- regardless of your age, schedule or season of life.

In order to facilitate connecting as women, we offer two (2) informational pieces for you to check out. Continuous Connections gives you the overall BIG picture of what is happening in ministry to women. This Fall brochure gives you the DETAILS of what is specifically happening this fall at Hoffmantown for women. So, take a few minutes to look at the opportunities available to you in the coming months! Watch The Compass (our Sunday bulletin) for registration information.

We love and serve a God who knows and cares about us as individuals. That's what we desire to model in Women's Ministry as well. Please feel free to connect with us at any time and in the way that is most convenient for you: a visit to our ministry center for a cup of coffee and personal conversation, stopping by our kiosk in the Fellowship Mall on the weekends, a phone call or an email. Check out our ministry updates on our website at www.hoffmantown.org or sign up to receive our eNEWS letter. Our desire is to be a bridge of connection for you!

With His love, grace and authenticity,

Dianne Christensen

Marriage Matters Part 2 | The R Factor | with Dianne Christensen and Harriet Byrd
With our plates often full and our schedules tight, sometimes caring and nurturing our marriage is last on the list. Ephesians 5:33 contains a very important factor in building up, edifying and encouraging our husbands. Respect. Most woman support the idea of respecting their husbands, they just have no idea what that looks like on a practical, daily basis. This 4 week class will help you to take the concept of respect from the Bible to the supper table.
Beginning October 5 | 9:30 -11:30am | B202

Beauty By the Book | with Andrea Lill and Wendy Cole You won't find these beauty secrets in the latest issue of Vogue and you can't buy them at the cosmetics counter either. Precept Colossians | Gaining a True Knowledge of Christ so No One Deludes You | with Julanie Lee and KC Newbill What does it mean to be complete in Christ? Is Christ your all in all? Does He meet all your needs? Don't let anyone delude you with man-made philosophies or traditions that contradict the Word of God. Discover important truths as you journey through this 13 week study. Beginning September 7 | 9:30am -12:00pm | B216

Precept Isaiah | Part 1 of 2 | with Debbie Clay Isaiah is the crown jewel of Old Testament prophets, a book that strikes awe in the heart of its reader. Prophecies from Isaiah are mentioned in 22 places in the Gospels, Acts, and Romans. The words of Isaiah were often found on the lips of the Christ, the Messiah prophesied in Isaiah. If Jesus, God incarnate, honored this grand and glorious book so highly, then you and I ought to do the same. For 15 weeks, we'll meet the Holy One of Israel and learn how He deals with those who claim Him as God but don't honor Him as God in the way that they live. Beginning September 7 | 9:30am -12:00pm | B209 | No Childcare in December
