Worship Ministry
Worship is primary! Worship is knowing God and loving him, not out of duty or obligation, but because He is worthy, and for it gives us joy. If we delight ourselves most in Him we demonstrate that he is our most Precious Treasure. Worship is to delight in God in our lifestyle; a relationship with God.
Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself also in the LORD…”
Corporate Worship:
Worship must be God-centered, God-focused, Christ magnifying, Christ exalting and should lead believers into a meaningful personal and corporate experience with God. Corporate worship should be a powerful celebration of God’s presence among His people--an experience of the heart. Worship is not just a Sunday morning event, but is a lifestyle that is enhanced by a growing relationship with the Father. I Chronicles 21:24 and Malachi 1:8
Our mission is to lead, encourage and equip people to have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and to make Him life.
Matt 22:37-38 Jesus said to him, " 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. Col 3:4 …Christ who is our life…
We exist to make Him known and to make disciples. Through an atmosphere of worship and praise we desire to lead God’s people to engage their hearts in a celebration of praise to our great and awesome God, to support the message of the day with appropriate songs, and to do all things with excellence. I Chronicles 16:23-34 Give to the LORD the glory due His name…and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!
The dream of the Worship Ministry is to create a community of surrendered believers who are about the prioritizing of one thing--creating environments where people are encouraged and equipped to pursue three vital relationships: Connecting with God (worship), Connecting with Others (growing as disciples) and Connecting in Life (impacting our world).
Worship is more than just singing faces on the platform. It is at the center of everything we do. God is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. We understand worship to be a response to God for who He is and what He has done, expressed in how we live our lives. Worship happens all over the place here at Hoffmantown: through Bible studies, Connection Classes and small groups, people serving through their giftedness, and as each follower of Jesus experiences the Father not only in our worship environments, but in their daily life.
Hoffmantown worship, as a ministry, strives not to be the worship leaders but to be lead-worshippers through relevant, vibrant, and meaningful music, as we join together in His presence and make much of His glorious name.
