GIRLS’ MINISTRY
Today’s teenage and college age girls face complex and pressing issues to perform, achieve, pursue beauty at any cost, deal with sexual temptations and abuse to name a few. Girls have more rights, freedoms and opportunities than ever before but with these things they face a growing number of problems deeply rooted in being female in today’s society. Titus 2 is very clear in its mandate that older women teach, nurture and encourage younger women. The church is strategically positioned to effectively minister in the lives of girls in this generation. We are delighted to welcome Ashten Pick as our Girls’ Ministry Summer Intern! Watch the Compass for details on upcoming summer events and ministries. Young or older, if you would like to minister with us, please contact Ashten Pick at 858-8627.

MENTORING
In the frantic pace of today’s world, women have never been more connected via cell phones, the internet and the media and yet the depth of connection is shallow and often empty. Do you long for a place of deep connection, of authentic relational engagement? Consider a mentoring relationship. It requires no special talents beyond a teachable surrendered heart to God and a desire to live, love and encourage in honest community. Plan to attend the next informational coffee on Tuesday, June 3 from 6:30 – 8:30pm. For more information, pick up a brochure in the Fellowship Mall or call Betty Bobroff at 299-1610 or Mary McPeters at 293-1883.

SHEPHERDING
Life is often hard and we all experience seasons of pain. Shepherding is an intentional one on one relationship where women walk with one another and seek answers to life issues through Biblical encouragement, prayer and fellowship. If you desire personal encouragement from God’s Word or would like more information on Shepherding, please contact Barb Mulvey at 858-8674.

TITUS 2 SERIES: MaRRiage - THE R FACTOR
Ephesians 5:33 contains a very important factor in building up, edifying and encouraging our husbands. With our plates often full, our schedules tight, sometimes caring and nurturing our marriage is last on the list. Stop by the LRC and pick up the CDs from previous “R Factor” seminars and learn what the Bible has to say about effectively communicating Godly respect to your spouse on a daily basis.

COMMUNITY CONNECTION WITH CROSSROADS
We have enjoyed a great community partnership between the Women of Hoffmantown and Crossroads for Women, a local agency that serves women desiring to break the cycle of homelessness and incarceration to achieve healthy, stable and self-sufficient lives for themselves and their children. Part of the recent “Not So Extreme Make-Over” we partnered in redecorating their reception and meeting areas. If you would like to spend some time in social settings with the Crossroads clients in the months ahead or assist in this ministry, contact Heather Zimny for more information at 858-8633.

NEW MEXICO WOMEN IN MINISTRY
