2020/2021 Budget Approval
The Church Council, Elders, Pastors, Finance Committee and Personnel Committee have reviewed and affirmed the church budget for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2020. The budget summary and ballot will be sent by email and is also available from the reception desk.
The Hoffmantown bylaws require in-person voting at a special business meeting in June for approving the budget. However, because of the COVID-19 impact and out of concern for the wellbeing of the Hoffmantown congregation, the church leadership has developed a special process for voting for this year. Voting on the budget will be done using paper ballots. The ballot will be available starting June 7 and voting will end on Sunday, June 28.
The church is eligible to participate in the Payroll Protection Plan. The Payroll Protection Plan was developed by the US Government to assist businesses and non-profits. The church is eligible for about $290,000 in the form of a grant for payroll and utilities. The funds can be returned if they are not used. The bylaws require a vote by the congregation for the church to participate. The church will not incur debt. Voting on the Payroll Protection Plan will be included on the ballot for the church budget.
In person Q&A sessions on the budget and PPP will be held immediately following the worship service in the Worship Center on Sunday, June 14 and Sunday, June 21. These sessions are planned to last 30 minutes each.
Online Q&A sessions will be held via Zoom webinar on Sunday, June 14 and Sunday, June 21 at 12:30pm.
