Pastoral Search Team

The PST would like to say a very hearty THANK YOU to the Women’s Council for their preparation and serving of our appreciation dinner on Monday night. It was an excellent banquet with all our favorite Mexican foods. Top notch! We would also like to thank the church body as a whole for your input and prayer support over the last several months as together we have sought God’s man for Hoffmantown. It has been our great pleasure to serve you, and we are excited about what God has in store for our future. (Jeremiah 29:11)


Next Steps Class

Necessary Conversations (Date Change)

Barbara Stewart will be presenting a 1 ½-hour seminar on “Necessary Conversations” on Tuesday, November 10th, 5:30-7pm. The seminar will be online and onsite in room B208/210. We will discuss end of life needs including options and benefits of advance-planning funeral arrangements. Contact for more information.

Daily Prayer Reminder

We recognize that God has answered our “6 o’clock” prayers by bringing Hoffmantown and Lamar together and now we want to thank Him specifically for His blessing toward us. Praise and thank God for His faithfulness, for sustaining us through a very difficult time, for His goodness, for His loving care, for His protection and provision. So, for the month of October, remember, at 6pm we pray, each and every day.



Fall Festival

Fall Festival Drive-Through

This year, Fall Festival will be a COVID-19 safe drive-through event. We need your help to make this a fun event for intentionally connecting with families in our community. Men of Honor

Men of Honor, formally the Promise Keepers, is having a men’s event on the Mission Field Saturday, October 17,  2-4pm. Men come and bring your sons, grandsons, mentors, mentees, etc. For more information on this event email



Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse that shares God’s love to children in need in a tangible way with their Christmas shoeboxes. These boxes are filled with goodies geared toward sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with children all around the world. If you are interested in sending a box, an OCC table will be in the Fellowship Mall. There you will be able to get more information and instructions on the ministry!


Mission Prayer Moment – Baptist Student Union

The Baptist Student Union on the UNM campus disciples a large group of students, providing training for them to go out into the world as Christ-centered leaders and disciple makers. Every August, the BSU gathers furniture and household items for incoming international students to help them, befriend them, and share the love of the Lord. When there is not a pandemic, they gather students together in their safe, next-to-campus building for meals where they can share Jesus with the students. Hoffmantown church has financially supported the BSU for 6 years.

Church Council

Our Church Council exists to promote awareness, coordination, and synergy in the church ministries. It provides a mechanism by which church matters and questions are raised and responded to. Many thanks to Kirby Jefferson for leading the council this past year. He and Gwen Hughes are rotating off the council this year. We welcome Steve Gnerich as our new chairman, and D’Ann Craft and Bruce Townsend as our new at-large members. In the coming year we will continue with Ministry Updates and Policies & Procedures reviews as we found the collaboration valuable this past year. Feel free to ask us questions at
