Frank Turek: I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Athiest
This Sunday 9:30am|6:30pm
Please welcome Dr. Frank Turek as he will address four questions to help establish why Christianity is the most reasonable worldview:
Does Truth Exist?
Does God Exist?
Are Miracles Possible?
Is the New Testament True?
We hope you will be able to join us on Sunday at 9:30am and 6:30pm. The Question and Answer session will be during the 6:30pm presentation. To watch via livestream, please go to www.hoffmantown.online, or our YouTube channel. There is no reservation deadline, please come! This is a free event! More information at hoffmantownchurch.org/frank-turek.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month
As God has instructed us to recognize His servants, we as brothers and sisters in Christ at Hoffmantown Church can come alongside our pastors and elders to encourage and help them and faithfully hold them up in prayer every day! Please take time to pray for and encourage them as the Lord leads you.
“But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction, and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another.” 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
Attention Mission Field & MF Playground users:
Beginning next week, there will be signs on the Mission Field and its playground notifying the general public that the park is closed during the school day. This step is necessary to improve security for the many students on our campus each week. However, the park will still be fully open and accessible to Hoffmantown Church members. If you wish to use Mission Field during the school day and in order to identify yourself as a member, please stop by the Receptionist Desk to get a church member identification card on a lanyard that identifies you as a Hoffmantown member. Thanks for your support and cooperation.

You Can’t Vote November 3rd if You’re Not Registered!
You have often heard: “This is the most important election of our lifetime,” and it very well could be. But in 2016, over 25-million Christians DID NOT VOTE, and over half of them were not even registered! Today, (Sunday October 4th), before and after the service, a special Voter Registration Table will be set up with forms available to register if you have not done so. The deadline to register for voting in the November 3rd election is October 6th, so be sure to pick up a form. You will be able to either “Scan to Register to Vote” or fill out and mail the “Register to Vote” form into the Country Clerk’s office as soon as possible. Jesus told the Pharisees, “Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s”; including obeying the laws of man. We have a responsibility to not only obey man’s laws but to participate as Christian citizens. Register today so you can vote on November 3rd.
ADULT FAMILY MINISTRIES
Barbara Stewart will be presenting a 1 ½-hour seminar on “Necessary Conversations” on Monday, October 12th, 6:30-8pm. The seminar will be online and onsite in room B208/210. We will discuss end of life needs including options and benefits of advance-planning funeral arrangements. Contact email@example.com for more information.
Daily Prayer Reminder
We recognize that God has answered our “6 o’clock” prayers by bringing Hoffmantown and Lamar together and now we want to thank Him specifically for His blessing toward us. Praise and thank God for His faithfulness, for sustaining us through a very difficult time, for His goodness, for His loving care, for His protection and provision. So, for the month of October, remember, at 6pm we pray, each and every day.
