Young Professionals Home Group
If you are between the ages of 25 and 35 years old, please come join us every 2nd and 4th Friday of each month starting on March 22, from 6-8pm. This group will be gathering to study the Word and learn what it means to put it in action. We will meet at a host home, contact Morgan Drake for more information at 858-8633 or email@example.com.
Legacy Ministry–Aftercare Seminar
The Aftercare seminar provides a practical, organized “how to” work through estate matters after the death of a loved one. Items such as where to begin with settling an estate, applying for social security and other benefits, insurance matters, banking issues, real estate, and vehicle titles will be covered. The information presented at this seminar is also a beneficial ministry outreach tool we can share with family members, friends, and neighbors who are dealing with and sorting through estate settlements. Join us on Monday, March 11, at 10am, or 6:30pm in room B100. RSVP is appreciated. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 858-8633 for more information.
CHILDREN & STUDENT FAMILY MINISTRIES
If you are between the ages of 18 and 24 years old, please come join us every Thursday at 7pm. We meet at a host home and are currently studying the book of Ephesians. If you have questions or would like to join us, please contact us at email@example.com.
Mission Prayer Moment
Please pray for B & C, who are sent missionaries with IMB serving in Eastern and Western Europe. Pray for safety in their work as they share the gospel. Please also pray for members of their team who are struggling with boldness in evangelizing to the lost.
Receptionist Position Available
Hoffmantown Church has a part-time (23-25 hours per week) Receptionist position available. We are opening this position to active members of Hoffmantown Church who sense a calling to Christian service, are proficient in computer usage and able to work in various contexts. If interested, please pick up an application from the Receptionist Desk and contact Susan Franse at 858-8654 or firstname.lastname@example.org for a more detailed description. Please return completed applications to the receptionist.
Life Resource Center Volunteer Opportunity
The LRC, Hoffmantown’s bookstore, is looking for a few good volunteers! Do you like retail, love people, and have a heart to serve? We are looking to build a team of volunteers to help with all aspects of the bookstore ministry. Computer proficiency, working with cash, and a love for Christian books and other materials is a plus. Contact Cathy Green at 858-8668 or LRC@Hoffmantown.org for more information.
In Loving Memory
Please continue to be in prayer for the families of Jack Ferguson and Ed Skeans.
Chiller Receipts to Date: $204,295
We have received more than 68% of our $300K goal. Thank you again, for your support!
January Month-End Update from the Finance Council
(Our fiscal year starts in July)
January Actuals YTD Actuals
Receipts / Income $220,547 $1,723,873
Expenses $205,103 $1,610,746
Difference $ 15,444 $ 113,127
January receipts (contributions and income) exceeded our expenses by $15.4K for the month. At the same time, our YTD actual receipts, when compared to our actual expenses, exceeded our expenses by 113.1K. “Praise the Lord!” While we are working diligently to keep our expenses within the incoming contributions, through January, our actual unrestricted contributions were 262.8K less than the same period last year. Through January, you gave 170.5K to the Property Improvement fund (just under 57% of our goal) to replace the existing chiller that cools our building in the summer.
Please ask the Lord what additional part you can play to help us recover our short-fall in budget giving. These are the dollars that pay our bills– lighting, heating, literature/other resources, building maintenance, salaries, etc.
2 Corinthians 9:7 says, Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. God has been very faithful! Thank you for your on-going, faithful giving to the Lord through Hoffmantown Church. Any time you have questions, please feel free to contact the church at 828-2600 to have one of the Finance Council members (Debra Atencio, Kathy Dodson, Robert Ewing, Chris Messina, Bill Talbott or Laurie Wallis) or Chris Branan contact you.
