Compass – 3/31/19

This Week’s Sermon

This Sunday Joe Long will be speaking on – This I Believe – The Christian Code of Conduct (2 Peter 3:10-11).

Transition Team Update

The transition Team would like to recognize and express our heartfelt thanks to the members of the Governance and Ministerial Teams for all the time, effort and dedication they have provided to doing the work God called them to. We so appreciate their hearts and tireless dedication to His plan and purpose.

An Encouraging Word: Many in the church body have asked if healing is taking place? A recent example would suggest–YES! One of our members had surgery. Many in the body came alongside this member in prayer; sent cards, flowers, letters, emails and text messages of encouragement. Meals were provided and follow-up care was made available. Our Lord stated in John 13:34-35: A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.

Hoffmantown Congregational Meeting TODAY (NEW TIME)

Easter Sunday Service, April 21 at 10am

“He is not here, He has risen, just as He said!” Those words, spoken by the angel at the empty tomb, are as true today as they were 2,000 years ago. In fact, no event in history has had more impact on the world than the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Why is the resurrection so important? The Scripture tells us, “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins…But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead!” We can now be forgiven of our sins and raised to eternal life by believing in Him. Come and celebrate the Risen Savior and all He’s done for us this Easter Sunday, April the 21 at 10am!
