This Week’s Worship Service (PALM SUNDAY)
Today, Rob Mahon will be preaching on Faith In The Face Of Fear (Luke 19:29-41). Today’s songs are Hosanna (Praise Is Rising), May The Peoples Praise You, The Old Rugged Cross, and I Will Not Be Shaken.
This past Wednesday, the pastors had another fun live chat with members of the body on Facebook Live. It was a great time of encouragement, updates, and prayer. We plan to continue doing these live sessions Wednesdays at 2:30pm. You can watch the stream at www.facebook.com/hoffmantown/live. You do not need to have a Facebook account to watch, but you would need to be logged in to comment or ask questions in the chat. We’ll also have the recordings available on the website after the live session is over.
Our website homepage, hoffmantownchurch.org, has been updated to include important information about our ongoing response to COVID-19, including links to all our Sunday streaming options, online giving, and our new Facebook Group for building community online. We also have a signup form available for those who can help individuals or families in our community with practical assistance or with local Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Efforts. We would love to get you connected so that you can be a blessing to others!
Many of our Sunday School classes are using online resources, including video calls, to stay connected. If you are not part of a Sunday School class or have not received an invitation to one of these online classes, please email@example.com for information about how to get connected with a class online.
Continue to keep an eye on our website, social media, and your email for updated information. If you know of someone who does not have access to the internet for information, please make an effort to personally reach out to them this week to help keep them updated and encourage them. Thank you!
Praise God and thank you Hoffmantown Church body for your wonderful support of the church in your giving of Tithes & Offerings this past week. This was our third week operating under virus restrictions and in addition to your faithful giving, the church received a couple of special gifts that actually helped us exceed our budget last week. Thank you. Giving was 35% via the online option, and 65% from postal mail and hand delivery to the church Reception Desk. Bless you, church, as you praise God through your faithfulness in giving.
Sincerely, Sam Mouck, Director of Operations

Request from UNM Hospital – Reusable Face Masks
If you can sew, UNM Hospital is very much in need of your help! They have initiated asking the community for help in the making of reusable face masks.
Please go to these links for instructions – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDt02kUpP9Q orhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueWkAuY3k6Y.
You can bring the face masks to Hoffmantown Church, at the Receptionist Desk. For more information or questions, please contact Linda Rademacher at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mission Field Playground Closure
An issue was raised during the Facebook Live Pastor Forum regarding whether the church was going to comply with Mayor Keller’s directive to keep parks open, but close the children’s playgrounds within those parks. We will certainly do so. We are creating signage and will use caution tape to close the playground portion of Mission Field. We plan to do a bit of VBS advertising at the same time. The rest of the park will remain open for the use of the church membership and public per the City guidance.
