This Week’s Sermon
This Sunday Joe Long will be speaking on – How to Stop Repeating Mistakes – (Matthew 26:31-35).
Transition Team Update
The Transition Team and Elders would like to thank everyone who attended the Congregational Meeting this past Sunday. We were encouraged by the turn-out and church body support.
The Transition Team is seeking 10 members who are willing to serve on the Pastoral Search Committee. A significant time commitment is anticipated. Email your nominations to firstname.lastname@example.org or pick up a paper form at the reception desk. Include contact information for you and the nominee and also why you think they are appropriate to serve. Self-nominations will also be accepted. Pray for this process as God leads us.
An Encouraging Word: John 16:33 – “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Easter Sunday Service, April 21 at 10am
“He is not here, He has risen, just as He said!” Those words, spoken by the angel at the empty tomb, are as true today as they were 2,000 years ago. In fact, no event in history has had more impact on the world than the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Why is the resurrection so important? The Scripture tells us, “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins…But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead!” We can now be forgiven of our sins and raised to eternal life by believing in Him. Come and celebrate the Risen Savior and all He’s done for us this Easter Sunday, April the 21 at 10am!
