This Week’s Sermon

This Sunday Steve Dighton will be preaching on There is Hope on the Horizon (Jeremiah 29:11, 12).

Transition Team Update

An Encouraging Word from Pastor Tim: Psalm 127:3 talks about the importance of children to the LORD: “Behold, children are a heritage of the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” (ESV) Sometimes adults forget the powerful ministry being accomplished every week by our dedicated staff in the Children’s Ministry. Their Faith-FULL teaching every week is constantly sowing seeds that ARE leading to SALVATIONS! Last Sunday, I had the privilege of participating in the Lord’s Harvest! The staff in the ROC has been walking with the children through the ABCs of salvation. I was honored to present the Gospel of Salvation one last time. 3 precious children expressed a desire to follow JESUS. As Paul put it: “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” (1 Corinthians 3:6, ESV). As I prayed with one young man and his mother Sunday morning, his face simply glowed. Isn’t that a BLESSED ASSURANCE? Thank you, Children’s Ministry, and all who volunteer to invest in the Heritage of the Lord—our children!

Dear Women of Hoffmantown,

Today, as you entered the auditorium, you received a pen inscribed with the words, “Grace & Peace to you”.  May this and the following verses remind you of the blessings you have in Christ Jesus and His continuing work in your life.  You are special and dearly loved.  Whether you have children of your own or others whom God placed in you life to encourage, you are important and precious in His Kingdom. “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now. For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” –Phillipians 1:2-6

We love you and pray for you. Joyfully, Hoffmantown Women’s Council

RZIM Church Leaders Conference (Ravi Zacharias International Ministries)

Hoffmantown Church will be hosting a live simulcast for the RZIM Church Leaders Conference. The conference will be discussing, what does it look like for the church to be reconciled to God, to forgive one another as the Lord forgave, and to live out our message of reconciliation in a deeply divided culture? Helping us answer these critical questions will be Francis Chan, Ravi Zacharias, Becky Pippert, John Bechtel, Michael Ramsden, Lisa Fields, Abdu Murray, Judy Dabler, Vince Vitale, and other members of the RZIM team. Whether you are a home group leader, Sunday school teacher, or any kind of ministry leader in your local church, we would love to have you join us! This is a free event being offered to YOU! If you are interested, please call 858-8624. This is a two-day conference event, starting May 23–May 24. Time will be from 7am–3:30pm. Doors open at 6:30am. Please RSVP if you plan to come.
