Prayer Needs for Hoffmantown: (Please Pray with Us!)
1. For the Lord to encourage skilled Christian musicians to come forward with an interest in being in our orchestra. Specifically, a drummer, and violinists.
2. For the Lord to bring help for our janitorial, set-up, and maintenance department – whether it be full time employees, or volunteers to come forward to help. Help us to use what He gives us.
3. For the Lord to speak to Christian servants to volunteer for VBS and come forward to help put on the best VBS ever.
4. For the Lord to be working in the hearts of all the children and volunteers who come to VBS; that they will learn to know, love, and proclaim Christ.

Blessings

Last Saturday, there was a joining of two ministries under Adult Family Ministries, Men and Women’s ministries, serving widows, widowers, and servicemen and women through an oil change ministry at Jim Dearholt’s Automotive. It was such a sweet time of fellowship with those who came to serve and also for those who were served. Great conversations occurred, and in turn, seeds were planted. Each person was able to have a burrito, donut, and bouquet of beautiful flowers. [Many Thanks to Jim and Tara Dearholt]. We are thankful to God and praise Him, that we were able to serve in this way.  – Gregory

KIDS MINISTRY

Kids Express Preschool Opening

Attention people with educational director experience, education and calling! Are you interested in working with the Hoffmantown Kids Express Preschool? We need someone who will ensure quality care in a positive, Christian atmosphere which will promote the spiritual, cognitive, and socio-emotional growth of the children though educationally sound learning activities. We have an opening for a full time Kids Express Preschool Director. Applications are available at the Receptionist Desk Monday through Friday. Please return completed applications and a resume to the receptionist.

Destination Dig (VBS 2021)

VBS 2021 is headed to present-day Israel where discovery awaits at Destination Dig. Kids will unearth more than dirt as they dig up exciting evidence that proves biblical events were not just stories. As junior archaeologists, kids will explore real-life archaeological finds that have helped to uncover the truth about Jesus! Along the way, they’ll discover the truth of Jeremiah 29:13, that God reveals Himself to us when we seek and search for Him with all our hearts.

Hoffmantown Kids VBS is a FREE EVENT, June 7-11th, for kids who completed kindergarten through 6th grade. Registration for children is available at: hoffmantownchurch.org/vbs/ or in the Kids Ministry Foyer.

It takes over 100 volunteers to do Vacation Bible School for our community. Will you prayerfully consider serving with this awesome team? We are currently seeking to fill lots of volunteer roles with all kinds of skill-sets both in classes with kids and not. We have a place for you! The Volunteer booth is in the Fellowship Mall. You are welcome to contact Sarah Goodrich at kids@hoffmantown.org to sign up or for more information.

Specifically, VBS is looking for a great Recreation Team Leader. This person should enjoy playing games (both with water and without) with kids completed 1st-completed 6th grade. Games usually include large group games, relays, water games, and more. We are more than happy to train if this is something you would enjoy but do not have experience doing. If this is something you can see yourself doing, please stop by the VBS tent or email Sarah Goodrich at kids@hoffmantown.org.

Kids Ministry Leaders Needed

Kids Ministry is experiencing lots of growth in our Nursery division (2 year olds and younger)! We are needing to add more leaders to care for and teach our littlest ones. We have openings during the 9:30am service in our infant and toddler rooms. Nursery team members serve one month at a time during the 9:30am service. So, as a team member, you would serve one month, attend service the next month, and then serve again the following month. We are anticipating this growth to continue as we head into the fall so this is an ongoing need. To serve, please contact Sarah Goodrich in the Kids Ministry at kids@hoffmantown.org or 858-8601.

God Is Working In Our Youth!

With the goal of each student owning their own faith, parents of 7th-12th graders are equipped to come alongside of their youth with weekly emails for Bible discussions, as students meet Sundays at 11am in Building E. College-age youth (ages 18-28) are storing up much of God’s Word in their hearts as they learn to live their lives according to God’s purposes for them. Parents are welcome to come alongside of their youth in this ministry. We meet on Sundays at 11am in room B118 and Thursdays at 7pm in room B104. Come join us!
