Hoffmantown Church Budget Q&A session June 13

The Hoffmantown Church new fiscal year begins July 1, 2021. Our bylaws require voting at a special business meeting in June to approve the budget for the next year. The in-person vote this year will be Sunday, June 20th. We are holding a special Budget Q&A session on June 13th prior to the voting. This Q&A session will be at 2pm on June 13th in room B100. Please plan to attend if you have any questions about the budget, budgeting process, and voting process.

Mission Field Repairs

The canopy over the basketball court at Mission Field has now been replaced. Late winter storms had torn up the northern-most shade canopy over the basketball court as well as one shade sail over the picnic tables. Persistent high winds prevented the new section from being installed the past couple months. We’re thankful the winds diminished a bit this week and the new canopy is installed.

Mask Update

We have updated our mask protocols in part with the CDC and NMDOH updates from last week. If you have been fully vaccinated + 14 days or have had COVID-19 and antibodies are present in your blood test, please feel free to not wear a mask here at Hoffmantown. If not, we encourage you to continue wearing your mask. We also encourage you to do physical distancing, when possible. In working with our children (who cannot be vaccinated), we would ask you to wear masks. If you are concerned about being present in our worship service with mask-less people, we are offering room B100 to anyone during services. B100 will require a mask during that time. Thank you so much, church, for your patience, humbleness, and spirit of cooperation during all these difficult months.

New Summer Sermon Series

Nine character qualities. Qualities that impact a Christian’s life. Evidence of the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We call them “the fruit of the Spirit.” Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Deep down, we know that a healthy, Christian life is a fruitful life. The model for fruitfulness is God, our Creator, and Redeemer. In this sermon series, we will examine how each character trait is to be cultivated in our lives. Our families, friends, fellow church members, and our world are craving for us to exhibit this type of fruitfulness to them. Join us this summer as we become more fruitful!

KIDS MINISTRY

Kids Express Preschool Opening

Attention people with educational director experience, education and calling! Are you interested in working with the Hoffmantown Kids Express Preschool? We need someone who will ensure quality care in a positive, Christian atmosphere which will promote the spiritual, cognitive, and socio-emotional growth of the children though educationally sound learning activities. We have an opening for a full time Kids Express Preschool Director. Applications are available at the Receptionist Desk Monday through Friday. Please return completed applications and a resume to the receptionist.

Destination Dig (VBS 2021)

VBS 2021 is headed to present-day Israel where discovery awaits at Destination Dig. Kids will unearth more than dirt as they dig up exciting evidence that proves biblical events were not just stories. As junior archaeologists, kids will explore real-life archaeological finds that have helped to uncover the truth about Jesus! Along the way, they’ll discover the truth of Jeremiah 29:13, that God reveals Himself to us when we seek and search for Him with all our hearts.

Hoffmantown Kids VBS is a FREE EVENT, June 7th-11th, for kids who completed kindergarten through 6th grade. Registration for children is available at hoffmantownchurch.org/vbs/ or in the Kids Ministry Foyer.

It takes over 100 volunteers to do Vacation Bible School for our community. Will you prayerfully consider serving with this awesome team? We are currently seeking to fill lots of volunteer roles with all kinds of skill-sets both in classes with kids and not. We have a place for you! The Volunteer booth is in the Fellowship Mall. You are welcome to contact Sarah Goodrich at kids@hoffmantown.org to sign up or for more information. The last day to sign up as a volunteer is Tuesday, June 1st.

You’re Invited To Our VBS Set Up Party

On Sunday, June 6th at 12:30pm we will be having a VBS set up party. It takes a lot of man power to prepare all the classrooms for VBS. Please plan on meeting in the Fellowship Mall for job assignments. Pizza will be provided. All (including kids) are welcome to come help. Most of the jobs involve no creativity, simply moving tables and chairs. You can stay as long as you would like, but we will be done no later than 3:30pm. We really appreciate all those who are willing to help out as it takes many hands to prepare the building for VBS.

Kids Ministry Leaders Needed

Kids Ministry is experiencing lots of growth in our Nursery division (2 year olds and younger)! We are needing to add more leaders to care for and teach our littlest ones. We have openings during the 9:30am service in our infant and toddler rooms. Nursery team members serve one month at a time during the 9:30am service. So, as a team member, you would serve one month, attend service the next month, and then serve again the following month. We are anticipating this growth to continue as we head into the fall so this is an ongoing need. To serve, please contact Sarah Goodrich in the Kids Ministry at kids@hoffmantown.org or 858-8601.

They have worked with the organization Advancing the Ministries of the Gospel (AMG) for over 25 years. With AMG, the Musiimes strive to teach the Word of God to children in need while also providing physical, educational, emotional, and health needs.
