Last weekend we relaunched our on-site worship service, and we are looking forward to seeing you again this Sunday at 9:30am as you feel comfortable attending! There are some things we would like you to keep in mind for the safety of the congregation. First, masks are mandatory by everyone attending on-site, per the governor’s orders. We also ask that you continue practicing social distancing habits by maintaining 6 feet distance between family groups; as you take your seats in the worship center, please keep three empty seats in between family groups. We will be doing our part to keep our building sanitized; please do your part by washing your hands often for at least 20 seconds. For more information and a list of frequently asked questions concerning our reopening plan, visit www.hoffmantownchurch.org/reopen.
We understand that many of you may not feel comfortable or may have concerns about returning, and we want you to know that there is absolutely no pressure for you to attend on-site until you feel ready. We would encourage you to continue to be discerning if you are in a higher-risk category. If you currently have any symptoms or have been around anyone with coronavirus recently, we ask that you please stay home and watch online until you are free from symptoms or exposure to COVID-19.
We will continue to stream our service live on Hoffmantown.Online, Facebook, and YouTube, and we’d love for you to join us on any of those platforms. For those that decide to join us in person, we look forward to seeing you again!
FY 2020/2021 Budget Approval
The Church Council, Elders, Pastors, Finance Committee and Personnel Committee have reviewed and affirmed the church budget for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2020. The budget summary and ballot will be sent by email and is also available from the Receptionist Desk.
The Hoffmantown bylaws require in person voting at a special business meeting in June for approving the budget. However, because of the COVID-19 impact and out of concern for the wellbeing of the Hoffmantown congregation, the church leadership has developed a special process for voting for this year. Voting on the budget will be done using paper ballots. The ballot is now available and voting will end on Sunday June 28.
Questions concerning the budget and Payroll Protection Plan can be submitted by email to email@example.com, by US mail or by leaving written questions at the Receptionist Desk.
In person Q&A sessions on the budget and PPP will be held immediately following the worship service in the Worship Center on Sunday, June 14th and Sunday, June 12th. These sessions are planned to last 30 minutes each.
Online Q&A sessions will be held via Zoom webinar on Sunday, June 14 and Sunday, June 21 at 12:30 pm. To register for the June 14 online sessions, you must register at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_B7NlZF2dRlejn12IQ2RKlQ.
Hoffmantown Church membership is required to vote on the budget and Payroll Protection Plan participation.

Many people feel they are less than who God says they are. We get our identity from our careers, our political positions, family roles in the family, and other things. Join us July 1 thru the 29 via Zoom at 6:30pm on Wednesday. Register with firstname.lastname@example.org or 858-8624. You will need the workbook and your Bible.
Tuesday Afternoons is a time for widows and widowers to come together and study the Word of God, pray together and join each other in fellowship and fun. For questions, or if you don’t have the Zoom link please contact email@example.com or 858-8633.

It brings us great joy to be coming together again as a church community! Have you noticed that the Music and Worship Ministry leads us in all three disciplines of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs every week, according to Colossians 3:16? Each provides unique richness to our worship experience. The Church Council enjoyed hearing an update from the Music and Worship Ministry at our recent meeting. We appreciate the ministry team guiding us in authentic worship of God.
This fall, two at-large members of the Church Council will rotate off, one man and one woman. Nominations for new members are welcome and the process will be communicated in the coming months. The at-large members will be elected by the church membership at the September annual meeting.
Do you have questions you would like to ask someone at Hoffmantown, or the Church Council? You are welcome to email your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org anytime.
