COVID-19 Update

We are looking forward to seeing you again this Sunday at 9:30am as you feel comfortable attending! There are some things we would like you to keep in mind for the safety of the congregation. First, masks are mandatory by everyone attending on-site, per the governor’s orders. We also ask that you continue practicing social distancing habits by maintaining 6 feet distance between family groups; as you take your seats in the worship center, please keep three (3) empty seats in between family groups. We will be doing our part to keep our building sanitized; please do your part by washing your hands often for at least 20 seconds. For more information and a list of frequently asked questions concerning our reopening plan, visit

We understand that many of you may not feel comfortable or may have concerns about returning, and we want you to know that there is absolutely no pressure for you to attend on-site until you feel ready. We would encourage you to continue to be discerning if you are in a higher-risk category. If you currently have any symptoms or have been around anyone with coronavirus recently, we ask that you please stay home and watch online until you are free from symptoms or exposure to COVID-19.

We will continue to stream our service live on Hoffmantown.OnlineFacebook, and YouTube, and we’d love for you to join us on any of those platforms. For those that decide to join us in person, we look forward to seeing you again!

2020/2021 Budget Approval

The Church Council, Elders, Pastors, Finance Committee and Personnel Committee have reviewed and affirmed the church budget for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2020. The budget summary and ballot will be sent by email and is also available from the Receptionist Desk.

The Hoffmantown bylaws require in person voting at a special business meeting in June for approving the budget. However, because of the COVID-19 impact and out of concern for the wellbeing of the Hoffmantown congregation, the church leadership has developed a special process for voting for this year. Voting on the budget will be done using paper ballots. The ballot is available now and voting will end on Sunday, June 28.

Questions concerning the budget and Payroll Protection Program can be submitted by email to, by US mail or by leaving written questions at the Receptionist Desk.

In person Q&A sessions on the budget and PPP will be held immediately following the worship service in the Worship Center on Sunday, June 21. The session is planned to last 30 minutes.

Online Q&A sessions will be held via Zoom webinar on Sunday, June 21 at 12:30pm. To register for the online sessions, you must register at

Hoffmantown Church membership is required to vote on the budget and Payroll Protection Program participation.

Life Group- Overcomer Women’s Summer Study
Many people feel they are less than who God says they are. We get our identity from our careers, our political positions, family roles in the family, and other things. This small group study uses clips from the film Overcomer to examine how we determine our identity and how we can find our true identity in Christ. Join us Wednesday, July 1 thru Wednesday, July 29 via Zoom at 6:30pm on Wednesday nights. Register with or 858-8624. You will need the workbook and your Bible.

Vacation Bible School Update

We are changing over to a Family Style Evening VBS on the nights of July 27, 29, 31 6:30-8pm on Mission Field for families with kids 3 years-8th grade. (Younger and Older Siblings are welcome, but will not receive a craft pack.) Safety is always our priority for Kids events at Hoffmantown. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we do not believe we can safely perform VBS in the method we normally do. During this VBS, each child must have an adult with them at all times.  Families will be sitting together and all the teaching, game directing, music, etc. will be done from a stage. So, we no longer need class specific volunteers, but we do have a need for people to help with check-in, set-up/ tear-down, greeting, and safety crew. If you are able to serve, please contact Sarah Goodrich at or 858-8601 as soon as possible. Registration and more information can be found at
