We are excited to announce that we are relaunching our on-site worship service on Sunday, June 7th, at 9:30 am. You should have received an email yesterday with details regarding our reopening plan. If you missed it, read all about it and watch a video with a special message from Pastor David Hopkins at www.hoffmantownchurch.org/reopen.
We understand that many of you may not feel comfortable or may have concerns about returning, and we want you to know that there is absolutely no pressure for you to attend on-site until you feel ready. We would encourage you to continue to be discerning if you are in a higher-risk category. If you currently have any symptoms or have been around anyone with coronavirus recently, we ask that you please stay home and watch online until you are free from symptoms, or exposure to COVID-19.
We will continue to stream our service live on Hoffmantown.Online, Facebook, and YouTube and we’d love for you to join us on any of those platforms. For those that decide to join us in person, we look forward to seeing you again!
2020/2021 Budget Approval
The Church Council, Elders, Pastors, Finance Committee and Personnel Committee have reviewed and affirmed the church budget for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2020. The budget summary and ballot will be sent by email and is also available from the Receptionist Desk.
The Hoffmantown bylaws require in person voting at a special business meeting in June for approving the budget. However, because of the COVID-19 impact and out of concern for the well being of the Hoffmantown congregation, the church leadership has developed a special process for voting for this year. Voting on the budget will be done using paper ballots. The ballot will be available starting Sunday, June 7 and voting will end on Sunday June 28.
The church is eligible to participate in the Payroll Protection Plan. The Payroll Protection Plan was developed by the US Government to assist businesses and non-profits. The church is eligible for about $290,000 in the form of a grant for payroll and utilities. The funds can be returned if they are not used. The bylaws require a vote by the congregation for the church to participate. The church will not incur debt. Voting on the Payroll Protection Plan will be included on the ballot for the church budget.
Questions concerning the budget and Payroll Protection Plan can be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, by US mail or by leaving written questions at the Receptionist Desk. In person and online options for Q&A sessions on the budget and Payroll Protection Plan will be held on Sunday June 14 and Sunday June 21. Details for these sessions will be announced.
Hoffmantown Church membership is required to vote on the budget and Payroll Protection Plan participation.

Life Group- Overcomer Women’s Summer Study
Many people feel they are less than who God says they are. We get our identity from our careers, our political positions, family roles in the family, and other things. This small group study uses clips from the film Overcomer to examine how we determine our identity and how we can find our true identity in Christ. Join us July 1st thru the 29th via Zoom at 6:30pm on Wednesday nights. Register with email@example.com or 858-8624. You will need the workbook and your Bible.
