Pastoral Search Team

Resumes have been coming in quickly, and we are very busy sifting through them. If you know of anyone who is interested in applying for the lead pastor position, please request that they submit a resume to www.SBC.net (scroll down to SBC JobSearch). We won’t know that they are interested otherwise. Please pray for discernment as we seek God’s leading in finding His man. (Proverbs 2:3-5)

Elder Affirmation

Tom Caudill has been nominated and it has been affirmed that he is being called by God to serve as an Elder for Hoffmantown Church. Tom has been reviewed by the Elders and meets the qualifications required in our Bylaws Article V, Section 1. He has been endorsed by the Elders and the 30-day congregational review period starts effective Sunday, August 18. Anyone who has a Biblical objection to Tom serving as an Elder must submit that objection in writing to the Elder Council for consideration and response during this 30-day review. Please pray for Tom and his wife, Kim as they begin this journey.

Tom’s Testimony

I committed my life to Christ on 24 December 1991 after my father died of a heart attack. I moved to Albuquerque in 1998 with my first wife JoAnna and our son Aaron and we became members at Hoffmantown in 2003.  She went home to be with the Lord after a 3-year battle with breast cancer. I met my wife Kim in our K-Group. Kim and I have five grown children and three grandchildren. I am a civilian at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and am currently a Division Chief overseeing approximately 175 people. I have been a K-Group leader in Wil Martin’s class since 2015. I have served on the Mission Council since 2016 and been the Chair of the Council since 2017. I enjoy theology and history and love to teach Biblical doctrine including creation from a scientific perspective.

MISSINARY VENTURES: WATCH GOD WORK by J. Daniel Rupp

Hoffmantown member, Daniel Rupp, has written a that does more than just relate his missionary experiences in Colombia, South America. In Dan’s own words, “Whether serving among throngs of people in Colombian cities, meeting small groups in mountain villages, or driving alone over the remote Colombian mountains, I always marveled at the ways I could see God working. Our lives have been enriched by the profound spiritual lessons taught us as we served among the delightful people to whom he sent my wife Linda and me and our three boys.” You’ll enjoy this engaging story as Dan recounts their many adventures as they partnered with God and the spiritual lessons they learned along the way.
