Hoffmantown Church Annual Meeting September 27
The Annual Meeting will be held TODAY, Sunday, September 27 at 3pm in the Worship Center. The meeting will be in person and online at Hoffmantown.Online. During the meeting, questions can be submitted to https://www.hoffmantownchurch.org/meeting-questions/ to be answered during the Q&A time. Childcare will be available for Birth-4th grade. This will be an important meeting because we will be voting on minor changes to the 2019 Bylaws and the new 2 At Large Church Council members. To review the biographies of the At Large Member nominees, changes to the Bylaws and to review the Church Council Policies and Procedures, please go to https://www.hoffmantownchurch.org/church-council/. Handouts of the At Large Members bios and pictures and changes to the Bylaws are available in the Fellowship Mall.
2 At Large Church Council Members Voting Process:
The slate for the Church Council will be presented to the congregation. When we vote, everyone will be voting for 1 woman and for 1 man 2 candidates. The Church Council is unanimous in recommending that you vote for one man and one woman to keep the council balanced. The two who receive the highest votes will be the new members of the Church Council. All candidates on the ballot understand the process and all are happily willing to go along with the vote of the congregation. Ballots will be sent in an email the week before the Annual meeting or you may receive one at the meeting. Ballots are due by noon Friday, October 2nd and will be tallied that afternoon. This will give ample time for everyone to submit their votes. Ballots will be collected for those in attendance at the Annual meeting, and we ask that those watching by video send their ballots in by dropping them off at the Receptionist Desk at church, via email by sending them to email@example.com or US Postal Service. As with all votes, only members will be allowed to vote, and we will have a confidential process to tally the vote. We will communicate the results of the vote on Sunday October 4th. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Fall Discipleship Conference with Frank Turek–October 4 (FREE EVENT)
Mark your calendars! Dr. Frank Turek will be speaking at the morning service on October 4th at 9:30am, and he will be speaking from his book, I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist.
Please join us again in the evening at 6:30pm for Dr. Turek’s full presentation. He will address four questions to help establish why Christianity is the most reasonable worldview.
1. Does Truth Exist?
2. Does God Exist?
3. Are Miracles Possible?
4. Is the New Testament True?
There will be a time for Q&A at the end of the evening presentation. This is a free event, but registration is required. To register go to www.hoffmantownchurch.org/frank-turek. Childcare is available for $5 per child with a $15 family limit. Please email email@example.com with any questions. To register for childcare, the cost is $5 per child.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month
As God has instructed us to recognize His servants, we as brothers and sisters in Christ at Hoffmantown Church can come alongside our pastors and elders to encourage and help them and faithfully hold them up in prayer every day! Please take time to pray for and encourage them as the Lord leads you.
“But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction, and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another.” 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
You Can’t Vote November 3rd if You’re Not Registered!
You have often heard: “This is the most important election of our lifetime,” and it very well could be. But in 2016, over 25-million Christians DID NOT VOTE, and over half of them were not even registered! Today (Sept. 27) and next Sunday (Oct. 4), before and after the service, a special Voter Registration Table will be set up with forms available to register if you have not done so. The deadline to register for voting in the November 3rd election is October 6th, so be sure to pick up a form. You will be able to either “Scan to Register to Vote” or fill out and mail the “Register to Vote” form into the Country Clerk’s office as soon as possible. Jesus told the Pharisees, “Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s”; including obeying the laws of man. We have a responsibility to not only obey man’s laws but to participate as Christian citizens. Register today so you can vote on November 3rd.
ADULT FAMILY MINISTRIES
Daily Prayer Reminder
Remember, 6pm we pray! Each and every day! We are praying for our new pastor, our pastor search team, and our church family. This is one way we can pray together as a church body during this time of sheltering in place.

We need factory sealed bags of “fun size” candies that are available on the seasonal aisle of the grocery store. There will be large cans for you to place the candy in along the Fellowship Mall. After the conclusion of this need, there may be an opportunity to transfer to the childcare team long term.
