Fall Festival Serving Opportunity

Fall Festival is a perfect environment to be the “Light of Christ” and Gospel conversations. We need our entire Hoffmantown Family for this outreach event. We have a variety of ways to serve and give – both for those more active and slower paced – for every member to join in this evangelistic event.

We also need a plethora of candy and people to serve at our game booths! Kids Ministry will coordinate the game. All you need to do is being willing to have FUN with kids and serve at a game booth! (For those with limited mobility, we have games with chairs). There are large containers distributed throughout the building for your plethora of candy. If you have questions, visit hoffmantownchurch.org/serve, or contact kids@hoffmantown.org.

KIDS MINISTRY

ROC Sundays

KidsROC meets twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Sunday each month. KidsROC are children Kindergarten-4th Graders who gather together during the 9:30am Adult Service twice a month to Worship the Lord together with an amazing group of adults committed to coordinating a special time of worship for just for kids. The kids participate in fellowship by completing a project and playing games at the beginning of the hour. Then Worship the second half by singing and dancing to praise songs, listen to a Bible message, and give an offering.

God is Answering Your Fervent Prayers!

… in bringing new families to Hoffmantown! Kids Ministry is growing,  especially in our nursery (babies-2 year olds) and preschool classes (3 and 4 year olds). Kids Ministry needs you to love on and share Jesus with our children. We have multiple areas of need every Sunday for you to partner with our current teachers. We would love for you to join our vibrant fun-loving ministry Team, one Sunday a month or two Sundays a month, to share in the blessings that we experience every week as we love children and families in the Name of Jesus! Contact kids@hoffmantown.org if you’d like to serve in this ministry.

MUSIC & WORSHIP MINISTRY

Christmas at Hoffmantown

As you’re making plans for your holiday season, make sure to save the date for “Christmas at Hoffmantown” on Saturday, December 4th at 7pm. This year’s presentation is sure to be special as guest artists, Bradley and Holly Knight, will collaborate with our Worship Choir and Orchestra to bring you and your family a Christmas concert you won’t soon forget. Bradley Knight has served as staff arranger and worship leader for some of the most prominent churches in America: Christ Church Choir, Prestonwood, and, most recently, the famous Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir in NY. He’s also a producer, orchestrator, and accomplished keyboardist. He’s written and arranged music for the Gaither Homecoming Friends, Lee Greenwood, LeAnn Rimes, Vestal Goodman, Lee University, and the Collingsworth Family to name a few. But, perhaps, what he’s best known for, is being the preeminent music arranger for Choirs and Orchestras in the church today. Hoffmantown is one of those churches who has benefited from his gifts and ministry over the years. Bradley’s wife, Holly, serves alongside him in ministry and is a gifted singer, writer, speaker, and worship leader. You won’t want to miss this incredible “one night only” event, so be sure to mark your calendars for December 4th now. As a bonus, Bradley and Holly will also be leading worship with us on Sunday, December 5th.

MISSIONS

Operation Christmas Child

December is just around the corner, and Operation Christmas Child is back again! The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. If you would like to join this great cause, stop by the OCC table in the Fellowship Mall to grab a box to fill with fun goodies! They will also be able to answer any questions you may have on the ministry.

CHURCH COUNCIL

churchcouncil@hoffmantown.org

Current Members:

Elders: Tom Caudill and Jim Dearholt

Pastors: Lamar Morin and David Hopkins

Deacons: Drayton Boozer and Dave Jarvis

Operations: Sam Mouck

At Large Members: D’Ann Craft, Steve Gnerich, Jeff McElwain, Patricia Rogers, Linda Rupp and Bruce Townsend

Your Church Council met on Thursday, October 7 with members of the Missions Council for a review of their Mission Philosophy, which will be updated online soon; we were also given a rough draft of Mission Trip Policies and Procedures, which is still a work in progress and has yet to be finalized. We look forward to 2022 and the possibility of mission trips! In addition, Mission Council members shared much of the work of several one-time disbursements completed on our church body’s behalf for missions work here in NM and internationally this year in the amount of $47,500. Praise God for a pastoral staff and church body with such a deep commitment to missions!

We also received a report from Sam Mouck updating the Council on the budget process to this point. Sam also shared work that has been done in our facility recently (new carpet in several classrooms and cameras purchased to be used in our on-line production ministry). The Church Council is very appreciative of all the work being done on behalf of Hoffmantown Church by the various ministries. To God be the glory!
