Member Vote to approve the church budget

The Hoffmantown Church new fiscal year begins January 1, 2022. The Hoffmantown bylaws require voting at a special business meeting in December to approve the budget for the next year. The in-person vote this year will be Sunday, December 5. There will be tables set up that morning in the B100 hallway next to the Worship Center from 8 to 9:30am, where all church members can pick up their ballots. You may also pick up a copy of the budget (if you didn’t receive it via email) at the Receptionist Desk.

Nativity Gallery

The 5th Annual Nativity Gallery will be on display in the Fellowship Mall before and after our Christmas performance on Saturday, December 4. Please bring your favorite nativity set and come take a look, as we remember with awe and wonder our Lord coming to earth. This display will open at 6pm, and refreshments will be provided! If you would like to submit a nativity set for display, please let Peter Strascina know SOON, and bring your set on Friday, December 3, or Saturday, December 4, between 10am and 1pm to the Fellowship Mall. We will provide “provenance forms” so you can write a short background about your set. Contact equip@hoffmantown.org.

Christmas at Hoffmantown

As you’re making plans for your holiday season, make sure to save the date for “Christmas at Hoffmantown” on Saturday, December 4 at 7pm. This year’s presentation is sure to be special as guest artists, Bradley and Holly Knight, will collaborate with our Worship Choir and Orchestra to bring you and your family a Christmas concert you won’t soon forget. Bradley Knight has served as staff arranger and worship leader for some of the most prominent churches in America: Christ Church Choir, Prestonwood, and, most recently, the famous Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir in NY. He’s also a producer, orchestrator, and accomplished keyboardist. He’s written and arranged music for the Gaither Homecoming Friends, Lee Greenwood, LeAnn Rimes, Vestal Goodman, Lee University, and the Collingsworth Family to name a few. But, perhaps, what he’s best known for, is being the preeminent music arranger for Choirs and Orchestras in the church today. Hoffmantown is one of those churches who has benefited from his gifts and ministry over the years. Bradley’s wife, Holly, serves alongside him in ministry and is a gifted singer, writer, speaker, and worship leader. You won’t want to miss this incredible “one night only” event, so be sure to mark your calendars for December 4 now. As a bonus, Bradley and Holly will also be leading worship with us on Sunday, December 5.

MISSIONS

Lottie Moon

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions is an annual offering to support over 3,600 Southern Baptist missionaries serving almost 12,000 people groups around the world. This offering is unique in that 100% of the offering donations received goes directly to those missionaries. The offering will also help the push to get 5,000 missionaries out to the mission field. Hoffmantown Church has a goal of raising $85,000 to break our 2020 record. Pastor Lamar and the Mission Council ask you to prayerfully consider helping us reach this goal! We can do so much more together! In preparation for the offering, Pastor Lamar and the Mission Council would also invite you to join them in participating in the Lottie Moon Week of Prayer November 28 – December 4. There will be prayer guides available at the November 28 Sunday service, but the link below will also lead you to the website. Hoffmantown has directly seen the power of prayer this year, so please join as we pray for the many missionaries overseas.https://www.imb.org/pray/week-of-prayer/
