At our meeting on May 1, we were joined by Michael Taylor, Communications and Media Strategist/Team Leader. He mentioned that Hoffmantown is truly blessed as the sale of the land has allowed for some much needed improvements in these tech areas, and it has led to some exciting considerations for the future. Michael said that in the tech area, they install, operate, and train others to work in sound, lighting, video, and so on. But, he emphasized that only 10% of the job is truly tech, and the other 90% is people. People of all ages can be involved in this ministry, youth included, and many of them who are introverts and might not serve elsewhere have found true joy in serving behind the scenes. Complementing the Tech Ministry, the communication part of the ministry includes, among other things, flyers, the Hoffmantown website, and the online services. Michael pointed out that studies show that people watch churches online an average of 2X before visiting in person, so it is essential that we broadcast the love of Christ beautifully and efficiently. We give God the glory, because we are able to do that here at Hoffmantown.
