The Church Council met in its August 4 meeting with members of the Hoffmantown Mission Ministry team. Several one-time disbursements have been made in past months from the Special Missions fund for the Ukrainian refugee ministry of Samaritans Purse and of Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, for Central Asia missionaries, to the Rock at Noonday for a needed storage shed, to the generator fund for Sivells Baptist Camp in Ruidoso, NM, for provision of a tent for Christian Challenge Collegiate Ministries (BSU), and for Life Quest student discipleship ministry. Ongoing budgeted missions ministries have continued in the last year as well. Coming up, Hoffmantown Church will provide staffing for some sessions at the State Fair for the diaper changing/nursing mothers station ministry of the Baptist Convention of NM and continue our annual Balloon Fiesta Ministry. Details are also being worked out for involvement in Shine, a local ministry for low-income public school students.

We are blessed to be able to contribute financially to these ministries and thank our Missions Team for overseeing our missions ministry. Please be reminded, though, missions ministry is not just giving and prayer; personal evangelism is the beginning point of our missions outreach as individuals and as a church. For more information and education about Hoffmantown’s Mission Ministry, please take time to check out the Missions page at https://www.hoffmantownchurch.org/missions/.

The Missions Ministry Council includes Joe Crews, Chairman, Chris Atencio, Dan Rupp, Nocha Myers, Marion DeQuack, Mary Spicher, Carolyn Lawson, and Orlando Vigil.
