July Month-End Update from the Finance Committee
So far this year, giving has exceeded expenses (receipts= $2,017,050, expenses = $1,896,008). Your faithfulness is encouraging. The AWANA kids sent a gift to IMB missionaries in Albania. They replied to HC, “… it is your gift that will allow us to move forward with this [ministry] opportunity.” Who have you blessed recently? If you have any questions about the church finances, contact any member of the Finance Committee (Ken Abbott, Doug Lawson, Fran Stribling, Regan Stinnett, JoAnn Polk, Robert Ewing or Jerri Rose).

KIDS MINISTRY
Protect Young Eyes: Have a Tech Safe Home
October 18 – 6:30pm (For parents & grandparents)
Registration Required – hoffmantownchurch.org/events
It’s not possible to create a home that removes all risk of digital harm, but it is possible to create one that is internet SAFER. Protect Young Eyes has observed what it takes to have kids learn to use technology well, and we call it the Tech-Ready Framework. This presentation covers foundational ideas: Do you know what’s better than any parental control? Do you know why your router is the most important digital device in your home? Do you understand the toxic trio? Do you know why TikTok is so compelling to young brains? Get ready for a ton of practical tips, solutions, and ideas you can implement immediately:
Our desired outcomes include:
• A deep understanding of why multiple layers of protection are necessary and how they work
together.
• Awareness of the hardware and software tools that support your digital goals.
• How to use practical solutions so that your family is prepared, balanced, and protected online.

As we dive into the Fall let’s remember our mission to “round up” those in our circle of influence to a relationship with Jesus and to Christian community. That means share Jesus with others and be a bringer! Remember Jesus’ call on your life: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 CSB
7-12th graders see you Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm and Sundays 11am-12:15pm in building E!
