Missionary Q&A with Bob Butler

Bob Butler, IMB missionary to Cambodia (also former pastor of Sandia BC), will be preaching this Sunday, October 29. We are very excited to have him come and preach! In addition, Bob and his wife, Vickie, will be available for a Q & A time later at 5pm in room B100. Join us to get a deeper look into their ministry work.

 

Multi-Generational Worship Choir November 19

Join us for this Thanksgiving themed service where kids, students and adults from every generation are invited to join the Worship Choir on the platform. If you are interested in being a part, please visit hoffmantownchurch.org/multigen to view and listen to the music for the service. There will be only one rehearsal at 8:30am before the 9:30am service that day. See you there!

 

Hoffmantown Church Full-Time Position Available

Hoffmantown Church has a full-time position available. Applicant should be an active member of Hoffmantown Church, sense a calling to Christian service and be able to work in various contexts.

 

Kids Ministry Administrative Assistant Are you passionate about making a lifelong impact on children’s lives? Do you have strong organizational skills and a heart for serving others? We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Full-Time Kids Ministry Administrative Assistant! This position is a direct report and support of the Kids Director and works hard alongside the Kids Ministry team to make each event, meeting, and task successful. If you’re ready to be a difference-maker, fill out an application form, and submit a resume to Caitlin Craft at CaitlinC@hoffmantown.org.

ADULT FAMILY MINISTRIES

Please join the Women’s Ministry Council for “Harvest” Time 

It’s “Harvest” time! Time for fellowship while enjoying breakfast, reflecting on God’s word, and participating in a craft outreach project. Breakfast will consist of Cracker Barrel’s Pancake Tacos with fried apples. Of course, coffee, orange juice and water will be available. Join us on Saturday, November 11, at 9:30am until noon in room B208/210. This also includes our third annual bake-off. This year stir up your best sweet or savory bread recipe to submit to our panel of judges. The guest speaker is Eileen Gornall who will teach from Hosea 10:12 (NIV). She is a teacher with the Protestant Women of The Chapel at Kirtland Air Force Base. This event is for young ladies aged 12 (attending with an adult) and over through women up to 120 years old. Childcare is provided for infants through 11 years old. However, no food will be provided for them. Cost is $8. Deadline to register is 5pm, Sunday, November 5. Registration is available online at hoffmantownchurch.org/events or in the Fellowship Mall Sunday, October 29 or November 5. If registering in person on one of these Sundays, cash or check only. Operation Neighborhood Survey Part 2 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28

We’re looking for volunteers for Operation Neighborhood Survey Part 2. We would like to meet our neighbors and give them materials about upcoming events, including Fall Fest, Christmas at Hoffmantown, and our Christmas Eve services. We will meet at 9:30am, for breakfast and brief training, and then go out. We should be finished no later than 11:30am. Please come and be a part of this wonderful opportunity to meet and invite our neighbors into Hoffmantown Church.

MISSIONS

Operation Christmas Child Season is Upon Us!

Get your Shoeboxes at our table in the Fellowship Mall. Packed Shoeboxes must be returned to the same table or the reception desk no later than Sunday, November 12. We will again this year, be holding a Shoebox Packing Party on Saturday, October 28, in room B209/B221, from 10am-1pm. Please join us to help pack lovely Shoeboxes to be delivered worldwide bringing the Good News with Great Joy. We have many items to pack that have been donated by individuals and the Mission Council. More donations are welcome! Items to consider donating include new children’s clothing items sizes for 5-14 year old girls and boys, washcloths, sewing kits, tools, and ladies’ hygiene products. These items need to be turned in by Friday, October 27. For more information, contact missions@hoffmantown.org.

 

KIDS MINISTRY

THIS SUNDAY! Fall Festival Set up Party!We will be setting up Fall Festival booths and games on Sunday October 29 after Sunday School. Lunch will be provided so plan to stay and help with all the fun! If you have questions, email kids@hoffmantown.org.

 

FALL FESTIVAL: October 31 from 6-8pmInvite your family, friends, and neighbors to this year’s Fall Festival!!! We have inflatables, lots of fun new booths as well as plenty of candy to hand out. Thank you Hoffmantown for the candy donations. Your generosity is amazing! We once again surpassed our goal.

 

SAVE THE DATE… and YOUR CLOTHES: Clothing & Toy SWAP: November 4We need your clean and gently used clothing and toys for the SWAP on November 4! This event will be FREE and open to the community. Have clothes or toys to donate? Bring them to the Children’s Lobby or offices to drop off before the event. The Clothing SWAP will be in the Fellowship Mall from 9-11am on Saturday, November 4. AWANAAwana is looking for some awesome adults who would be willing to invest in the next generation. We are in need of 5 adults to step up and serve in a great and rewarding way. KIDZ BLITZKidz Blitz was last Friday, October 20 and it was awesome! Thank you Hoffmantown for supporting families with children. We saw 3 children pray to receive Jesus at the event!
