MISSIONS

Shine Partnership

Shine Partnership is a ministry that equips churches to build relationships with local schools and their surrounding communities. Some examples of this include: tutoring, teacher appreciation, after school programs, and more. Earlier this year the Mission Council was approached to join Shine and start a partnership with a school in our area. After vetting this ministry, the Council has felt a call to join in this ministry. We have a great opportunity to show the love of Christ in public schools where the light of God is dwindling. The Council needs servants to join a core team to run and lead this program with Shine. Please email Missions@hoffmantown.org or call 858-8660 to volunteer or receive more info. We look forward to loving the kids of Albuquerque.

KIDS MINISTRY

Hoffmantown Family “it is finished” – VBS 2022!

(Except for our VBS Friday Night Celebration AND VBS Worship on Sunday morning, June 12. See below! 😊)

Almost 300 kids joined us every day to learn how much Jesus loves us and how we are “Wonderfully Made by God!” (Psalm 139:14)

Thank you to the approximately 220 volunteers who were the “hearts and hands” of Jesus, decorating our entire church transforming walls and halls into the beauty of Australia, creating crafts connecting our Bible stories, cultivating hearts for missions locally and globally, preparing unique snacks under the “Great Barrier Reef” as sea life swam above, leading run & fun activities outside, worshipping through exciting songs and lively motions. Thank you as well to a prayer team who faithfully covered us in prayer, a security team who was the front line, maintenance guys, and so many behind the scenes who did a thousand other things before VBS ever got here that made VBS possible! (Colossians 3:14; Colossians 3:23)

Come join us TONIGHT for our “Friday VBS Celebration” to experience all God did at VBS!

In the report of the Music and Worship Ministry to the Church Council, Terry Janow reported that there are 21 regular volunteers in the Hoffmantown Church orchestra at this time. The biggest update in the previous months has been a transitioning from a traditional analog orchestra to the use of Abelton Software which controls the tempo in the instrumentalists’ ears as well as filling in instruments needed but currently unavailable in the orchestra. This has also enabled the ambient sound level to be lowered for the instrumentalists.Upcoming updates in the ministry are in-ear monitors for the Praise Team, lowering the ambient sound level for them and eliminating the need for the monitors on the platform. Also, the ministry has plans to purchase a new soundboard exclusively for the livestream and online ministry. Just as the new cameras have been a blessing to our online ministry, so will the new soundboard help to greatly improve the sound quality for those watching our services online. Worship Pastor David Hopkins is also working toward a re-launch of the Kids Choir ministry hopefully in the fall. We are so thankful to have the quality of lead worshippers that we have in our church, and what a blessing it is to be led in worship each week by these faithful servants.
