STUDENTS & KIDS MINISTRY

New AWANA Season Starting!

AWANA is gearing up for another awesome year of discipleship of kids 2 years through 8th grade! Our new year starts on Wednesday, August 25th with registration night on August 18th. We are looking for some awesome adults to come help kids and their families grow in their walk with the Lord. We need people to assist with all our age groups. Specifically, we are seeking a Club Director (lead teacher) for our Puggles Club. Puggles are our youngest AWANA kiddos. They are 2 years old at the start of the year and are learning the foundations of our faith, such as: God made everything, God is Great, God loves us, and we give thanks. If you are interested in serving, come see where our needs are at the table in the Fellowship Mall or contact Kids Ministry at kids@hoffmantown.org today! For more information about AWANA Clubs at Hoffmantown, please visit us at hoffmantownchurch.org/awana.

Childcare Workers Needed

Hoffmantown Kids is seeking part time paid childcare workers. These servants will be scheduled on Tuesday mornings to provide childcare support to our MOPS and Women’s Bible Study programs. There will also be opportunities for additional hours for special events like conferences and congregational meetings. Candidates should have experience being around young children and a willingness to learn about our care methods. Church members are preferred; however, candidates do not have to be church members, but must actively be walking with the Lord. This is a great part time opportunity for retirees, stay at home moms, and college students. Interested individuals may pick up an application at the Receptionist Desk.

MUSIC & WORSHIP MINISTRY

Worship Choir and Orchestra

If you love music, singing or playing an instrument, and worshiping the Lord, then come and check out the Worship Choir and Orchestra! Weekly rehearsals are starting back up this Wednesday night, August 4th so it’s the perfect time to come. Both groups will meet in the Worship Center at 6:30pm for a combined rehearsal. On Wednesday, August 11th, the Choir will begin rehearsal in room B100 at 6:30pm and then later join the Orchestra in the Worship Center.  Feel free to come and “sit in” on any rehearsal and see and hear what the Music & Worship Ministry is all about. There’ll be no pressure to join, but if interested in becoming a member, you can speak with any of the leaders or email kathic@hoffmantown.org for more information.

MISSION

Mission Prayer Moment

This week the Mission Council is praying for Angel Tree. Angel Tree is a ministry under Prison Fellowship that reaches the children of the United States who have one or more parents that are incarcerated. Hoffmantown has been a supporter of this ministry for many years. During Christmas time, churches work with Angel Tree to provide gifts and care for these children and their guardians. Not only do the children receive a gift, but also the knowledge that they are loved. In addition to Christmas, Angel Tree also ministers during the summer with fun summer camps as well as sports programs. For more information, visit prisonfellowship.org/about/angel-tree/. Please join the Mission Council and Mission Office in praying for this great ministry.
