Multi-Generational Worship Choir September 24

Join us for this fun and exciting service where kids, students and adults from every generation are invited to join the Worship Choir on the platform. If you are interested in being a part, please visit hoffmantownchurch.org/multigen to view and listen to the music for the service. There will be only one rehearsal at 8:30am before the 9:30am service that day. See you there!

 

Hoffmantown Fall Annual Church Meeting September 24
The Fall Annual Church Meeting will be held on Sunday, September 24 at 3pm in the Worship Center. Childcare will be available for birth-4th grade. If you need childcare for the Annual Meeting, please register no later than Friday, September 22nd at hoffmantownchurch.org/events/congregational-meeting/.

 

This will be an important meeting because we will be voting on minor changes to the 2022 Bylaws, affirming the corporate officers and affirming the new 2 At Large Church Council members. To review the biographies of the At Large Member nominees, changes to the Bylaws and to review the Church Council Policies and Procedures, please visit hoffmantownchurch.org/church-council/. Handouts of the At Large Members bios and pictures and changes to the Bylaws are available in the Fellowship Mall at the Reception Desk.

Congregational Meeting Voting Process:
As with all votes, only members will be allowed to vote, and we will have a confidential process to tally the vote. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Hoffmantown Church Part-Time Positions Available

Hoffmantown Church has part-time positions available. Applicant should be an active member of Hoffmantown Church, sense a calling to Christian service and be able to work in various contexts.

 

Administrative Assistant
Church Family, Adult Family Ministry (AFM) is seeking a part-time administrative assistant. This position has the honor and the blessing to serve the following ministries Men, Women, MOCHA, and Senior Ambassadors. If so led, please pick up an application at the Reception Desk, during any weekday between the hours of 8am and 5pm. We are looking for the person who loves the Lord, and loves serving others. For job requirements, please contact Susan Franse at 858-8654 or pastorsoffice@hoffmantown.org.

ADULT FAMILY MINISTRIES

Oil Change Ministry

Adult Family Ministries is offering an Oil Change Ministry at Dearholt AutoCare, 6401 Signal NE, 87113 on Saturday, October 14, from 9am–1pm. This FREE ministry is available to single parents, widows, widowers, and spouses of deployed military personnel. It will be a blessing for our volunteers to serve you! You can enjoy coffee, a burrito or donut, and fellowship while you wait. Please pre-register to ensure we have the correct oil and filters available. Space is limited; please reserve your oil-change-time in advance. (by Wednesday, October 11) To register, go online to hoffmantownchurch.org/events/.

 

Volunteers Needed for the Oil Change Ministry

We need people who have a heart to serve others by cleaning windshields, checking lights, and driving cars into and out of the bays, and of course changing oil on Saturday, October 14, from 9am-1pm. There’s plenty to do– let’s work together to provide this free service to people in our church body and community. If you are led to volunteer, please contact afm@hoffmantown.org or 858-8635 to let us know you can help.

 

Volunteers Needed for Women’s Council Outreach

The Women’s Ministry is looking for volunteers to serve as hostesses during the Men’s Ministry’s Oil Change Ministry on October 14 – any time between 9am to 1pm. Time slots are flexible according to your availability. Volunteers will fellowship with those who are waiting to have their oil changed. Contact afm@hoffmantown.org or 858-8635.

 

STUDENT MINISTRY

Mid-Week Worship Service

Join us Wednesdays, from 6:30-8pm, for our Student Ministry Mid-Week Worship Service in Building E! This is an awesome time of student-led worship, preaching, and hanging out. Can’t wait to see our Hoffmantown Students there and don’t be afraid to bring a friend! And remember, Student Sunday School happens every Sunday in Building E at 11am!

 

KIDS MINISTRY

Kids Ministry Volunteer Training: THIS SUNDAY!
Join us in the Rock on September 17 at 12:30pm for our annual Kids Ministry Volunteer Training. We will have a delicious lunch and lots of learning. Kids Worship in The Rock
Come join us in the Rock this Sunday, September 17 at 9:30am, as we learn more about Noah and how we can obey God even when it’s hard. All kids Kinder through 4th grade are encouraged to join the fun! You will NOT want to miss this! Questions about the Rock? Email kids@hoffmantown.org.

 

Multi-Gen Worship Coming on September 24
Come join the Worship Team on stage during the service on September 24. Kids ages 4 and up are welcome! Parents, teens and grandparents are welcome too! The listening track for “Forever” has been updated so please take a look and make sure you are practicing the correct version!

 

Kids Christmas Choir Kick-off: Wednesday, September 27 from 5:30-6:15pm
Mark your calendars for the Kids Christmas Choir Kick-off! Our Kids Choir will be joining the Worship Choir on stage for three songs during Christmas at Hoffmantown on December 8 and 9. Come to the Kick-off party in room C240 to get your music and catch the Christmas spirit! Pizza will be served. More information coming soon!

 

Kids Bible Story Hour: Starting Friday, September 29 from 10:30-11:30am
Caitlin Craft and friends will be reading Christian books at the Cherry Hills Library on the 1st and 3rd Fridays in October and November with the last story book hour for the semester on December 1. This Story Book Hour will be most beneficial for kids ages Pre-school through 2nd grade. More information coming soon!

 

SAVE THE DATE: KIDZ BLITZ on October 20 from 6:30-8:30pm
Kidz Blitz Live is a crowd participation event that gets the whole family involved! Kids and adults will play games against each other throughout the event all while learning Biblical principles. The event is free to you, but registration is required. Go to hoffmantownchurch.org/events/kidz-blitz/ to register.

There’s a place for everyone to serve, whether you’d like to: Hand out candy 🍬 Run a game 🎯 Pass out delicious food 🍔 Greet folks with a warm smile 😊 And more! MISSIONS

Balloon Fiesta Outreach
Join us October 7-8, 12-15 for a new and exciting outreach to our Balloon Fiesta Park and Ride guests, one that will not require a 2am call time! We will be placing information cards on car windshields with church info and invitations to our upcoming events. All ages are welcomed and encouraged to join in! Sign-ups can be found in the Fellowship Mall or online at hoffmantownchurch.org/events. We will begin placing the cards around Mass Ascension time.

 

Shine Volunteers

School has started, and so it’s time for Shine to again volunteer at our partnership school. There are many opportunities to serve including tutoring, working in the library, be a judge in spelling and math bees or bring goodies for the staff. Won’t you consider becoming a shine volunteer?
