CHURCH COUNCIL

churchcouncil@hoffmantown.org

Current Members:

Elders: Gerald Farley and Merv Jersak

Pastors: Lamar Morin and Gregory Elder

Deacons: Stacy Fugate and John Stockton

Operations: Sam Mouck

At Large Members: Nathan Brannon, Jeff McElwain, Stacey Lake, Dave Pitcher, Jerri Rose, and Linda Rupp

Sam Mouck met with the Church Council on October 5, 2023 to update the Council on the Operations Ministry, which includes safety/security, receptionists, IT, and Copy Center equipment. The head of the security team is Alan Rider; the team regularly trains in exit and shelter in place drills, lockdown drills, live fire exercises, mediation, and all aspects of security. The security team provides the security needed for church events and services and does an excellent job for Hoffmantown. A recent lockdown drill of all church office and maintenance personnel, Kids Express Preschool and Oak Grove School (which leases part of our facility during the week) was completed, and we were assessed with an A+ rating. Oak Grove School also has hired its own security officer during school hours, who actually benefits our overall church security during the day also. The receptionists who work during office hours also have a panic button to use in case of emergency. We have a hired security company who patrols the grounds and parking lots from 3pm until about 11pm or 12am which has really been a huge help for our outside security.

The IT and Copy Center ministries are running well and have the equipment they need at present.

We appreciate Sam’s hard work in overseeing these various aspects of our Operations Ministry and all the personnel who work efficiently to provide our church with smooth running daily operations in our church facility.
